I don’t plan anything, just send out emails when I have something to say, which to be honest, isn’t very often, at least not at the moment. One thing for sure is I will never bombard you with them. I’d like it to be once a week but I rarely get the time, currently more like one every month or two. What do I write about?

Anything guitar and music related. It may be guitar playing tips or website updates. I don’t do "gear" news, although won’t rule it out if I think something looks interesting, but will occasionally give reviews and opinions on "learn guitar" products, books and DVD’s.

I may sometimes add affiliate links to these products where I will be paid a small commission if you make a purchase, but guarantee these kinds of emails will be far less often than emails that have nothing to do with selling. Email lists that bombard you with marketing products will lead to you eventually un-subscribing or stop reading them; I want you to stay on my list so won’t involve myself with this kind of short lived practice.

About your personal information?

I only ask for an email address, nothing else. Your email address is stored by an email auto-responder company called Mailerlite, based in the EU and they are GDPR compliant so your data is protected under European law. Your I.P address and proof of consent is collected along with the time and date you sign up. Other data that may get stored are things like whether or not you open an email or click a link inside an email. I do not do re-marketing and you are not tracked, I do not send personalised or targeted emails. The reality is, I am not interested in your personal information. The only things I monitor are open and click rates to get an idea of whether a topic is popular or not. This gives me a better idea of what subjects are worth me writing about.

You have rights under European law and may request, at any time, a copy of the information stored that’s associated with your email address, you also have the right to ask for it to be deleted in it’s entirety upon request.
