Lee, not a question here, but I want to mention for everyone that I read your Guitar Theory book and was very impressed. My initial intention was to enhance my knowledge of Chord Progression and I certainly got that from your book. Too much to type here from all that I learned overall, but one thing is I never had anyone explain Modes so clearly. In your book you talk to the reader as though giving a private lesson, very level & human, and I respect that. I’m sure I’ll reference this book once in a while as needed. Thank you.
Definitely the best guitar theory book I ever read and studied, and I read a few which wasted my time. Not sure how I ran into your book but when I did i had a feeling, intuition or a vibe or whatever you call it that it was a good book that I could learn from it and I did tremendously. I am still going thru the advance stuff and also using it as a reference to refresh my memory. Now I understand guitar theory to a certain extend and I am still learning. It made it easier for me to learn how to play guitar. Great job and thank you for writing such a useful book.
Hello Lee, Sir
As my memory does not serve me quite well enough after so many years of musical theory left far away behind (my early years in a conservatoire studying the violin and a bit of piano), I thought it would be a very good idea to seriously delve back into theory, but strictly applied to the guitar – I’ve been working the pentatonic scales with your Pentatonic Scale Fluency book (my comments of last august).
In fact, I own some theory books but they stay very general and that does not forcibly help for the guitar (not specifically of any use).
I’ve been reading the first chapters of your Guitar Theory book – with a careful look at the following ones – and besides being an excellent refresher course to me, it fulfils all my hopes as a guitar player (although being a beginner).
Thanks a lot !
Frederic
