what‘s the 3rd note played in an ascending pentatonic scale in key of A?
and what’s the 5th note played in descending pentatonic scale in key of B, if the first played note is B?
Can anyone help me and tell me the reason for the answer?

Not sure I understand?
Are you talking about major or minor pentatonic?
It’s pretty straightforward. If the minor pentatonic notes for the key of A are A C D E G then the third note descending would be E (if you start with the A note.
B minor pentatonic notes are: B D E F# A so if you start with B then the fifth note played will be D.
The reason is simply count the notes from the other direction, or am I missing something?

The question did not claim it is major or minor pentatonic, what if these two questions are based on the major pentatonic scale?
I thought the pentatonic scale are 1,2,3,5,6, from major scale?? Or that’s for major pentatonic scale?
