I know that Major scale chord function is
1,3&6 is Tonic
2&4 is sub dominant
The 5 th is dominant
But I didn’t find the minor scale function anywhere…..
What is the chord function of natural minor scale??????please tell me.
I’ve got to be honest with you, I’ve never really studied it this deep, or what I have studied, I’ve forgotten. I don’t think they have different names. I certainly can’t find anything and I’ve just looked through my favourite theory books.
The names given to scale degrees are pretty much the same for minor or major. E.g.
1 = Tonic
b2 / 2 = Supertonic
b3 / 3 = Mediant
4 = Sub-dominant
5 = Dominant
b6 / 6 = Sub-mediant
b7 = Sub-tonic
7 = Leading tone
What you are asking about is chord grouping. Tonic, sub-dominant and dominant.

What you can figure out from this is …
Tonic chords in a major key = I, iii, vi
Tonic chords in a minor key = I, III, VI
Sub-dominant on major = ii, IV
Sub-dominant in minor = iidim, IV
