Hey there lee, sam here my question is regarding the problem of finding leads for any song on guitar
So could you please help me out with this thing you see I know that in order to get the leads one should be able to play major and minor scales but since you’ve uploaded the scales in the caged system form and 3 notes per string form so which one should I refer to and yes how do I find out the exact notes to play in my lead part please help me out man🙋
You can use any of the scale patterns. They are all the same notes, just different finger locations on the fretboard.
The rest of your question is not easy to answer because it can be very complicated. The most basic rule is to just play around with a scale that is the same key as the song. Making it sound any good is a lot more involved and just takes experience.
What level would you say you are at the moment. Are you just starting out with soloing and scale playing?
Let me have a think, I’ll see if I can create some kind of lesson on this. It does get asked a lot. What kind of style do you play? Rock, blues, etc?
Well I am more into rock music but I also like blues not that I play any of them perfectly but still I’m working on it so yes I love both blues as well as the rock
Yeah thanks a lot lee for the help you provided just keep this amazing website of yours running for people like me and about your question I am currently a more than intermediate and less than advanced of a guitarist 😅
