Where is the G note form the open position 7 chord?

It seems to me that there is no G note in the open position C7 chord, although there should be one, I think.

A lot of chords will omit certain notes because of fingering constraints. It’s common to leave out, but not limited to, the fifth because it’s fairly neutral sounding.
