I just discovered this while practicing the major scale and natural minor scale (3 nps) that the pattern is common between them. So my question is are they the same as in if I’m playing G major scale (3nps) then is it the same as E natural minor scale (3nps)

Yes, relative major and natural minor scales share the same notes, just have different roots.
