I find the biggest problem is not learning the scales, but “knowing how to use them” to creat solos… what I’m trying to understand is what to do when the chords change? It’s easy when your using a scale and playing a scale over a chord, but what do you do when chords change? Do you move the scale each time the chord changes, or do you stay in the scale and trying to fine the Root note of the chord that has changed and continue using the same box/scale you started with?

It can be an in depth subject and it also depends on the style / genre you are playing.
