natural minor scale formula: 1 2 b3 4 5 b6 7
harmonic minor scale formula: 1 2 b3 4 5 b6 b7
Harmonic minor scale is the 6th mode of major scale (Aeolian mode), it’s the reason why you can used the major patterns with these minor scales.
Not quite sure I’m understanding you. If you’re saying that I have them wrong on the website, could you tell me where?
I’m a little confused with your post. Are you saying this is what it should be? (If so, you are wrong) … or are you saying I have the scales written like this somewhere on the website? If so, please point me to the page.
The harmonic minor scale is NOT the 6th mode of the major scale. Aeolian and harmonic minor are not the same thing. Aeolian and natural minor ARE the same.
Natural minor: 1 2 b3 4 5 b6 b7 = correct
Harmonic minor: 1 2 b3 4 5 b6 7 = correct
What you have written is the wrong way round.
Thanks
