I don’t think F major chord can be played as a barre chord on first fret as suggested on p24 at top. It can be played on fret 1 but not as a barre chord. Apologies if Iam wrong.

Sorry Lee I was talking a lot of rubbish. I was thinking along the lines of if you barre the whole of fret 1 you are playing some notes which are not in the chord of F major. When in fact the barre acts as a movable nut.
