Example 6 Page 12 and other examples: In the Tab sections you show a D but the arrows are pointing up. IĀ understand about downstroke am I missing something?

The arrows do seem counter-intuitive. A downstroke is an arrow pointing up and an upstroke is an arrow pointing down.
The reason is because the arrow follows the lines of the Tab. If you look at how the strings on the Tab go from the low E on the bottom line to the high E on the top line – the arrows follow that order.
