I’m working my way through your book, Guitar Theory, and got lost on page 58. The last paragraph has a sentence which begins “For example, the ii chord in the key of A minor is D minor;” Checking the chart in the book, it looks like the ii chord is B minor. I understand the point you’re making but I can’t follow the reasoning of the example. Please clarify!
That sounds like it could be a mistake in the book. The ii chord of A minor is Bm as you say. I will check through it later and post back here to confirm just in case I was trying to make another point – either way, the ii chord of Am is definitely not Dm. Sorry about that.
Thanks Erica, glad you are finding it helpful. Obviously not without mistakes! It’s been checked countless times, unfortunately a few do slip through. It should have said iv chord, not ii chord. Thank you for pointing it out, I need to get it corrected.
