I understand that the dominant 7th can only be/best used in the V position. Is there a similar rule for the 9ths, 11ths, & 13ths?

I don’t know loads about funk but it does take some jazz influence without going too far off the rails. If this is your thing I’d recommend checking out some of the Licklibrary.com stuff, I know they have a few videos for this genre and the instructors are normally very good. Right now they’re doing a half price sale I believe for video downloads, worth having a look.
As for the questions people asking here, I don’t mind because it’s more content for my site plus at the moment the search isn’t working properly, yet to be fixed.
